My name is Dinesh, and am presently working as a Software Consultant for a Company named Alliance Consulting in Hyderabad, India. I have a Master of Computer Applications Degree and went through several twists in my academic and professional career, before i ended up in the IT industry.

My primary interest area is Microsoft Technologies. Started off in this area with VB4 (dabbled with VB3 also) and then on to .NET. I also spend enough time on other non-Microsoft things to learn them. So i spend time on Linux and also own a mini Mac (The power PC version). My other interest areas are Virtualization, Feed Technologies, Web Based Service Apps, Desktop and Web Apps Integration, Productivity Tools, all types of nifty utilities etc.

Currently i am working on a Project implementation which involves WebSphere Commerce v6 and Red Hat Linux AS4. So i probably would be having blog entries on some of them too.

About this Blog:

This Blog started off some 2 1/2 years ago on Blogger. At that time it was more on Current Affair and less on Tech Stuff, which is the reason i called it”Not Just a Geek”. The volume of posts was not great to brag about, just 2 or 3 a month, and around 1 1/2 year ago i completely abandoned it as i could not spend time on it. In Jan 2006 I migrated it to WordPress hoping to give it in a new start, but that did not happen until Nov 2006. So now the Blog would be more on Tech Stuff sprinkled around with other things. In this process i also deleted my old blog posts, so even though the Archives section will contain entries older then November 2006, none of them would work.
