Geek Stuff and not so Geeky Stuff
It seems Moq is all set to become the second most preferred Framework. This is quite an achievement for Moq considering that it is only 2 years old and is the newest Kid on the block. This is based on the bi-annual poll that Roy Osherove has initiated. The sample size might be less, but considering that Roy is one of the leading figures in Unit Testing and Mock frameworks, we can be sure that the sample consists of people who are really interested in Mock frameworks and shows a pattern. The results (still open for voting) are available here. If you compare this to the poll results 2 years ago, where Moq was not even on the list, you will sure understand why this is an achievement. Rhino Mocks is still the top one in both the results and form a percentage perspective there is barely any change.
I started working on Moq 3 months ago when i was looking for a mock framework for a project. After the initial search, it came down to two options. Moq and Rhino Mocks, i found Moq more easy to start of with, because of its unique syntax approach.
